Sierra Forward Endorses Neva Parker

Neva Parker, Assembly District 5 Candidate, has called California her home her entire life. Now she wants to take her understanding of legislation and put it to work for her California district.

Born and raised in the east bay town of Hercules, Neva attended public schools and graduated from the University of California at Davis with a BA in history after transferring from Contra Costa College her junior year. In 2013, she earned an MA in Leadership from Saints Mary’s College of California.

While at UC Davis, Neva worked as an intern in the state capitol Office of the Chief Clerk. There she learned the administrative intricacies of moving measures through the legislature, and with hard work, transformed a 10-month opportunity into a 26-year career. She served in many non-partisan capacities, most notably as the Senate Journal Clerk where she was responsible for maintaining the Senate’s official record.

Currently, Neva serves as Vice Chair of the Roseville Grants Advisory Commission, member of the Placer County Older Adult Advisory Commission, and volunteers her time with the Placer Food Bank and the Assistance League of Greater Placer.
